LED candles
- Charge or fit fresh batteries the day before the event, not on the day
- Constant light runs about 20 hours; flickering mode about 30 hours
- Keep the base switch on so one remote can control the whole set
- Only the dedicated waterproof range may be immersed in water
- Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth; never submerge standard units
Wax candles
- Trim the wick to about 5mm before each burn
- Burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and soft furnishings
- Allow the first burn to reach a full melt pool to avoid tunnelling
- Never leave a burning candle unattended or within reach of children and pets
Storage between events
- Store cool, dry and out of direct sunlight to prevent warping and fading
- Remove batteries from LED units that will be stored for a long period
- Keep original inners when stacking to protect glass and painted finishes
